Hi! I’m Lauren, the Owner of The Sweet Elephant Bake Shop. We are a small artisan bake shop located in Berryville, Virginia. I specialize in custom buttercream cakes, cookies, and cupcakes.

I’ve been interested in baking for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I would spend hours playing with my Easy Bake Oven and baking cookies for family and friends. 

The Sweet Elephant Bake Shop officially launched in March of 2017, as a home-based side hustle. I started out as a part-time vendor at our local Clarke County Famers Market and quickly grew clients. After a few years, I quit my full time job to focus entirely on the business. In September of 2020, we opened our first storefront and have never looked back!

I love creating a variety of styles, textures and using different techniques to create a custom order.

The most fulfilling part of this journey has been getting to know my amazing clients and connecting with other small businesses. I am so grateful to everyone for the continued love and support!
